After the incredible success of last year’s birthday video—one that Eminem himself loved—SHADYVERSE is back with an even bigger project, and we need fans from all over the world to join in! The “For Your Consideration” campaign is designed to attract attention from Recording Academy voting members. It typically highlights key works that could be nominated in categories such as Best Rap Album or Best Rap Performance. These campaigns usually include artwork, descriptions of the album, and relevant promotional material leading up to the nomination voting period, which runs from October 4-15, 2024.

After nominations are announced, further FYC efforts continue to target voters ahead of the final voting round. This is crucial to securing a win when final Grammy voting occurs between December 12, 2024, and January 3, 2025.

This week, we celebrated Proof’s birthday and honored his incredible freestyling talent, which even left Eminem in awe. Today, we’re shining a light on a freestyle he delivered in Eminem’s basement during a special BET Rap City episode, timed with the release of The Eminem Show in the summer of 2002. The “Temporary” music video is out now! Featuring precious moments captured during Eminem’s fatherhood for his daughter Hailie, the video juxtaposes home video footage of good and bad moments, with Hailie young and old. With the ever constant reminder “tears are only temporary.”

In just a few more hours Eminem is dropping the music video for “Temporary.” The premiere will be on YouTube at 1PM EST.

Eminem always admired Proof’s freestyling ability. So much so that it was the foundation for their friendship early on. The pair bonded over multi-syllable rhymes as Em remembers rhyming “birthday” with “first place” on the steps of Osborn high school with him and their friendship only grew from there.

They’ve created multiple legendary freestyle sessions over the years with Proof always showcasing witty punchlines and rhyme-schemes. His rhymes forever left a mark on the culture and on Eminem who considers him the greatest freestyler he’s ever known.
